Did yard work.

She passed the swallow test!  She can drink normal liquids now!

Talked to my mom on the phone today.   She started reading through the blog entries starting with June 6.

She was anxious about starting dinner before my dad got home.

She has a swallow test tomorrow.  Please be praying that she’ll be able to drink normal liquids.

Dennis and Carolyn made it back home safely from their drive to IN.

My mom thinks that maybe the fluid in her right ear is starting to drain some – she thinks she can hear a little bit better from it now.

She may be coming to CO the middle of September and staying about a month.

Will be driving back from IN starting tomorrow morning.  Weather was really nice on Saturday.

My mom has enjoyed seeing and talking to all the friends/family in IN.

Doctor told my mom fluid in ear will take a long time to drain out – maybe a year.

Collar bone (broken) and/or right shoulder is bothering my mom.  Will probably see an orthopedist when they return from IN.

Feels stupid sometimes and gets frustrated.  Sometimes can’t find something when it is right there.

Today is my mom and dad’s 38th anniversary!

Talked to her on the phone today.  Wanted to see the Blog.  Showed her how to get on the internet.  Read many of the guestbook entries.  Said seeing how many people care made her want to cry.

Went to the GI doctor today and feeeding tube was removed!  She is very happy about that!

Talked to my mom on the phone.  Enjoyed therapy.  Says her long term memory seems to be good.  Says her short term memory is “shot.”  She can’t remember people who called or visisted her a couple days ago.

Had appointment with Dr. Pam Salazar.  Went well.  She said Carolyn is doing really, really well for such a short period of time.  She gave her permission to travel, but not air travel until the fluid in her ears is better (probably a few more months).

Cooked scalloped potatoes for dinner last night.

Takes care of self really well.  Thickens liquids for herself and drinks them OK.  Eats well.  Stayed by herself again this afternoon.

Denny & Carolyn will probably drive to visit Indiana 23rd-24th.
