Sammie is doing well!
For those that may not know, Sammie our 5 year old had a 8mm kidney stone that they think is left over from her kidney surgery. Sammie went in today to have a shock treatment on the kidney stone and hopefully break it up so she will not have oain when she passes it. She is a little sore, but doing well. Hopefully the next few weeks will have no pain as she passes the stone.

Bring Christmas to Poverty
Hello everone….
I just wanted to write and ask that you consider a additional Christmas present this year….

Our Lesly
the gift of life. As many of you know I work for Compassion International and I get to hear all the stories of all the lives changed for children all over the world. Well what you may not hear is that the US econony and high gas prices, and even strugling US auto industry has had a devistating effect on the poorest of poor! This global food crisis has created more need than ever.
I am not normally the person to ask things of people and I know money is tight for everone, but this Christmas I ask you consider changing the life of one child somewhere in the world. There is a child that needs help now on the right side of this page. You have the power to change their life.
You can! www.compassion.com

Halloween Photos
Well Halloween has come and passed. This year we got out and hit the neighborhoods with some friends as well as did some local “Harvest Parties”. The weather was amazing for Colorado. Sammie was a Butterfly and Taylor, Broncos Cheerleader! Dad was a creepy Dr?
Sammie Also carved her own pumpkin 100% by her self. Amazing how fast she is growing!
Guestbook Disabled
Hello everyone. Due to a recent very large number of inappropriate spam postings on Mom Z’s guestbook and the fact she is able to communicate via phone now we decided it was best to disable her guestbook.
Because of this we will be better at putting up more information. You can still feel free to comment on the blog page.
Things every child should do…
A while back I (Kevin) asked a bunch of people for a list of things every child should do. The “goal” is to do all this every year to make sure our kids dont miss out. Have anything else I should add?
• climb a tree
• make up a story
• sleep in a tent
• read by flashlight
• make an indoor fort
• build with blocks
• go sledding
• fly a kite
• make a sand castle
• jump in a pile of leaves
• feed an animal
• explore a new place
• paint something
• play dress up
• look at cloud shapes
• roll in the grass
• run for the joy of it
• learn the great Bible stories
• learn to share with those less fortunate
• play in the mud
• bake cookies
• do a craft
• grow flowers
• plant a tree
• watch a full moon “rise”
• count stars
• catch lightening bugs
• make snow angles
• go fishing
• try to find the end of a rainbow
• play in the rain
• make paper boats and race them down the rain gutter during a storm
• make a volcano that erupts
• build a model

Fall Photos
The leaves are falling and the hint of snow is in the air. Fall is upon us and its been eventful.
We started off fall with Kevin having a bike accident requiring 11 stitches. Sammie is busy learning at school and getting too big… and Taylor is taking in all the sights and sounds.
Taylor got to visit a pumpkin farm and pick out a pumpkin, pet farm animals and work on her tractor driving skills
We also hiked up to the top of Mount Herman in Monument. Sammie got to see all the cars that looked like ants.
Mom Ziegler has been living with us for a few weeks and getting some (maybe too much) kid time in. We are glad to have her with us
Snow is in the air
Well… we woke up this morning below freezing and the feel of snow in the air. I have yet to see a flake but am excited to take sammie out to catch the first flakes on the tounge. Pikes Peak did get a decent dusting of snow… so its just a matter of time now.
Carolyn is still with us, however I think that she does not share the same passion for cold and snow
The fall weather is bringing me some “not so deep thoughts”… so stay tuned
